Zlato is a boutique growth and brand consultancy led by Blagica Bottigliero, a 25-year digital marketing veteran, Emmy award-winning strategist, and startup founder.

Blagica has built and rebuilt digital ecosystems from every angle:

  • Corporate + Growth:
    Most recently, as Senior Head of Growth Marketing and Communications for Delta Beverages, Blagica led the full marketing and growth engine for a THC seltzer brand - building the brand, demand funnel, and data stack from the ground up.
    She unified paid social, influencer, affiliate, content, and analytics into one cohesive growth system, launching creative campaigns like “Experience the First” and elevating Delta as a breakout name in the functional beverage category. Under her direction, the team implemented advanced attribution modeling (GA4, Triple Whale, Meta cAPI), scaled multi-channel paid media across Meta, Google, OTT, podcasts, and newsletters, and developed the brand’s early community and affiliate programs.

  • Agency:
    Led Edelman Digital’s strategy group and built The Escape Pod’s social media practice - connecting brand storytelling with measurable growth outcomes for global clients.

  • Corporate:
    Oversaw Motorola Mobility’s global social media practice, advised Target on digital engagement, and helped Orbitz launch its first e-marketing team, shaping the foundation of online travel marketing as we know it.

  • Startups:
    Self-funded and scaled multiple ventures, including co-founding Bottles Nation, one of the first national virtual tasting platforms. Within ten months, the company hosted 1,000+ virtual events and surpassed $1M in revenue, helping redefine how brands approached experiential marketing in the pandemic era.
    Earlier, she joined NBC Chicago’s Street Team, earning an Emmy for her pioneering work in New Media.

After two decades in Chicago’s tech and agency scene, Blagica returned home to Michigan to contribute to the next wave of Midwest innovation.
Through Zlato, she partners with founders, investors, and creative teams who want to build real traction - without the fluff. Now based in Metro Detroit, she continues to amplify local entrepreneurship and tech storytelling through writing, speaking, and civic engagement.
